Jeffrey S. Nye, External Innovation Head, Neuroscience, JJPRD
Richard L. Huganir, Professor and Director of Neuroscience, Co-Director, BSi, JHUSOM
Jeffrey D. Rothstein, Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience, Co-Director, BSi, JHUSOM
The BSi, in conjunction with Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., an affiliated company of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development LLC (JJPRD), has established a neuroscientific alliance to identify and validate novel targets and pathways involved in neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases with the intent to develop transformational new therapies to treat these devastating illnesses.
As part of the collaboration, scientists from JJPRD will be closely collaborating with BSi scientists in the neuroscience space. In addition, JJPRD may license BSi intellectual property as well as provide ‘tool compounds’ and/or other support to BSi collaborative research projects that have been selected by a Joint Research Committee comprised of members from BSi and JJPRD.
This meeting offered the opportunity to learn about the new program and how you can partner with JJPRD neuroscientists to help translate your science into new medicines for treating diseases of the nervous system.
